Hello!

My name is Atiya, and I am a student at Agnes Scott College majoring in Creative Arts: Visual Practices with a minor in Business Management.

My time at Agnes Scott has exposed me to a variety of different ideas and experiences through my liberal arts education, from traveling internationally to volunteering for organizations and growing with my peers. It is for these reasons that I believe life is full of opportunities for learning new skills, building knowledge, and exploring ideas so that I understand the world around me better. For me, art is simply one way of doing all three of these things.

In my work, I am interested in creating work that reflects my identity and the environments that shaped me through intricate linework and organic forms. Currently, I am working on a series of mixed media drawings as part of my senior capstone project.

When I’m not drawing, I enjoy reading self-help books, watching anime, and taking pictures of flowers.
